COVID-19 & Your appointment

Our clinic is currently open, with additional precautions in place. Please read over the following important information on our safety protocols. We thank you for your patience as we adapt to the rapidly evolving situation and work together to limit the spread of COVID-19, with the health and safety of our patients, staff, families and communities at the forefront.

Please DO NOT attend your in-person appointment IF: you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed below; are awaiting a COVID-19 test result; or have had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19. Please call the clinic first for instructions.

  • Fever or chills

  • Cough

  • Loss of sense of smell or taste

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Other symptoms: sore throat, loss of appetite, extreme fatigue or tiredness, headache, body aches, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE CLINIC:

-24 hours prior to your appointment, please take a few moments to complete the COVID-19 self assessment tool if you are having symptoms: https://covidcheck.gov.bc.ca/

-If you screen positive, please give us a call so that your appointment can be switched to a telehealth visit, or rescheduled (with no fee)

-Prior to your first appointment, please take a few minutes to fill out our patient intake form. You may download, print and fill out the Patient Intake Form, and bring the completed form to your appointment. Alternately, arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out a paper copy at our office

-Our waiting room has been arranged to allow for physical distancing.

-To maintain physical distancing and reduce exposures, we ask that patients not bring additional people into the clinic when possible, and that only one parent/guardian/caregiver accompany patients when needed.

-The exam room and equipment will be disinfected after each patient. High-touch surfaces at the clinic are disinfected multiple times per day.

-All toys and reading materials have been removed from the waiting room and exam room. Please bring your own if needed.

NEW CONSULTATIONS:

We are currently seeing new patient consults in the clinic. For certain issues, we may contact you in advance to offer an initial visit via telehealth (see below), with follow-up arrangements in the clinic.

FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS:

Certain follow-up appointments can be done via telehealth, and we will contact you to make arrangements if this is the case for you.
